Tom Lavinder is a native of Ashland County and a 1970 graduate of Loudonville High School. He and his wife, Debbie, are the proud parents of three adult children who have blessed them with eleven grandchildren that keep them very busy. Debbie is a graduate of Mansfield Madison High School and they have been married for 37 years.

Tom has served as a superintendent of schools in the Loudonville-Perrysville and Montpelier School Systems from 1988 to 2005. He also has experience as a high school principal and a classroom teacher during his public school career. Tom was also the Business Manager of the Ashland City Schools in 2005 and 2006.

Currently Tom is employed by Ashland University as the Director of the Telego Center for Educational Improvement and Professional Development Services. He looks forward to working cooperatively with all board members and school officials in order to provide the best educational experience possible for our children.
